Young chef puts the Savvy in cooking

Savvy Baker, 11, is as good as her name implies.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - All this week on THV11 this Morning, we are introducing you to some talented kid chefs, in our newest series Next Generation Cooks!

At 11-years-old, Savvy Baker knows her way around the kitchen. If her name alone isn’t enough to convince you, she invited THV11’s Laura Monteverdi to her kitchen to show her how to whip up a delicious snack, perfect for get-togethers and tailgate parties.

“People always call me the Baker who bakes because I love baking,” said Savvy Baker.

Baker said her passion for baking and cooking is more than just about food.

“I love doing it because it’s how I spend a lot of my time and I get to spend time with my family, said Baker.

Baker credits most of her skills to the cooking classes she takes at Clinton Culinary Camp each summer.
