Cooling Centers open in Little Rock for those affected by storms

The City of Little Rock has several community centers open for residents needing a cool shelter after storms Wednesday left many residents without electricity.

The community centers open and their hours are: 

Friday Only

Dunbar Community Center – 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
1001 W. 16th – 501-376-1084

East Little Rock Community Center – 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
2500 E. 6th Street – 501-374-2881

Stephens Community Center – 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
3720 W. 18th – 501-603-9974

Friday and Saturday

Centre at University Park – 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Friday & Saturday)
6401 W. 12th Street – 501-661-1700

Southwest Community Center – 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. (Friday) / 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Saturday)

West Central Community Center – 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Friday & Saturday)
