North Little Rock police charge 43-year-old man with murder for June 22 homicide

The United States Marshals Eastern Arkansas Fugitive Task Force arrested 43-year-old Earnest Harper Jr. of Jacksonville, on warrants for First Degree Murder.

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — On Monday, July 22, members of the United States Marshals Eastern Arkansas Fugitive Task Force arrested 43-year-old Earnest Harper Jr. of Jacksonville, on warrants for First Degree Murder. 

Harper was located hiding inside a house at 6800 Canna Street, in Little Rock.

North Little Rock Detectives obtained a warrant for Harper for his involvement in the shooting death of Daniel Burnett. Burnett was killed during an incident on Saturday, June 22, 2019, outside of a bikers club at 2400 East Broadway in North Little Rock.

Harper has been charged with Murder 1st Degree and Possession of Firearms by Certain Persons. He is being held with no bond at the Pulaski County Detention Center. 

Harper will have his initial appearance in North Little Rock District Court on Tuesday, July 23 at 9 a.m.
