BAUXITE, Ark. (KTHV) – The Bauxite School District has opened an investigation into allegations of hazing involving the Bauxite baseball team surfaced.
The allegations are being investigated by Arkansas State Police and the Saline County Sheriff’s Office.
THV11 reached out to the school district for a comment and received a statement that said, “We are not able to comment further on specifics of the hazing allegations. The safety and well-being of our students is, and will continue to be, the primary concern of Bauxite Schools. We take all threats to student safety very seriously and are taking immediate actions to ensure the safety of all student-athletes.”
Coach Michael Mattox and Coach Steven Tew have been placed on paid administrative leave from their baseball coaching duties pending the results of the investigation.
