LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Two months after Hurricane Michael slammed into the Florida panhandle, one Arkansas family that now lives in Panama City Beach is doing its best to help.
The Wright family moved to Florida about three years ago. They say the damage following Hurricane Michael moved them to take action, which is why they decided to help the people at Oakland Terrace Elementary in Panama City.
The Magi Mission of Hope was established by the former Gibbs Elementary School family to aid those affected by the storm this holiday season.
“I felt really bad for them because I always have a really good Christmas. So for them to have a Christmas they don't like, I wouldn't want them to do that," a Gibbs student said.
