Severe weather updates during historic Arkansas River flooding on Wednesday

According to the National Weather Service, a severe thunderstorm warning and a flash flood warning has been issued for both Pulaski and Saline counties.

UPDATES:

As of 10:55 p.m.:

Multiple streets in Little Rock are impassable due to flooded waters. DO NOT try to drive through these streets, or any street that has water overflowing it.

  • South Bowman Road is flooding in the Brodie Creek area
  • Riverfront Road is underwater
  • Water is over Crestside Drive in Alexander

The National Weather Service has reported a flash flood warning for Lonoke, Saline and Pulaski counties.

Damaging winds have been reported moving 60 mph and nickel sized hail has also been reported. Reported damage includes several trees uprooted due to winds.

A severe thunderstorm was located over Bryant moving northeast at 40 mph and there have been reports of trees down as well as windows blown out of trucks and homes.

There are currently 2,043 power outages reported by Entergy Arkansas in Pulaski County.
