Carter Thweatt is a multi-skilled journalist who is thrilled to be reporting the news in Little Rock and the entire central Arkansas area!
He is originally from Nashville, but he fell in love with Arkansas after attending Harding University. Trips down to Little Rock from Searcy were some of Carter’s favorite memories in college, and he can’t wait to get to know the city and community better!
Carter graduated from Harding in May of 2024 with a Bachelor of Arts in Multimedia Journalism, and joined the THV11 team shortly after.
While at Harding, he anchored, produced, and reported for HU16’s Live at Five News. His proudest moment was anchoring an election night broadcast in 2022 that won a student Emmy (his co-anchor was KFSM’s Morgan Wrigley).
In his free time, he loves watching sports and cheering on the Tennessee Titans, Indiana Pacers, and of course, the 2023 national champions Harding Bisons. He grew up an Auburn fan, but his time in Arkansas has made him fall in love with the Razorbacks as well!
