Maya Ellison is a Multi-skilled Journalist at THV11 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Originally from Atlanta, Maya will let you know she comes southern roots with family in Mississippi, Alabama, Texas and Louisiana.
At the age of 11, Maya knew she wanted to be a journalist. She always found a way to share the latest news. Now, she’s here to embrace the city of Little Rock and dwell into her passions of telling stories that matter.
Maya attended Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University (FAMU) in Tallahassee, Fla --- her Dad’s Alma Mater. While at FAMU, Maya became a two-time award-winning journalist for her storytelling efforts in both news and sports. She was also named the youngest Sports Anchor in FAMU TV20 history.
In May 2023, she received her Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism.
She joined the THV11 team in July of 2024 after working for over 12 Fortune 100 companies throughout her collegiate stint such as CNN, ESPN, TNT Sports, Orlando Sentinel, NCAA, NASCAR, FOX 5 Atlanta and more. Through her many experiences, she’s accomplished many feats — covering historical Georgia elections, collegiate sports, Florida politics and more.
In her free time, Maya enjoys spending time with family, shopping, listening to music and playing tennis.
