LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — While growing up in Los Angeles, Tyler quickly realized that his passion for sports was best served off the field of play, despite an illustrious high school baseball career (during which he hit a double). He also got the tee after kickoffs for his high school football team.
Tyler went coast to coast, attending the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. Was there a noticeable difference in weather patterns between Southern California and Central New York? Who's to say.
While an Orange, Tyler covered the Big East and ACC, men's and women's basketball Final Four runs, mediocre-to-bad football, plus multiple coaching and AD changes, which would serve him well in Arkansas.
After graduating in 2016, Tyler began working at THV11's partner station in Fayetteville, KFSM (5NEWS). While there, he served every role, from photographer to lone member of the sports department. He quickly immersed himself in the world of Arkansas high school sports, including watching the 7A Central break the streak at War Memorial and plenty of title games in Hot Springs.
Tyler brings a wealth of experience covering the Razorbacks, having now reported on three head football coaches, two ADs, two MBB and WBB coaches, and multiple runs to Omaha.
He's excited to continue Woo Pigging it, while getting to tell the stories at A-State, UCA, UALR, OBU, Henderson, and all the other schools in Central Arkansas.
