FORT SMITH, Ark. — The Arkansas-Oklahoma State Fair kicked off on Friday, Sept. 20, in Fort Smith. Each day the fair has new events, deals and entertainment. 

The last day for the fair will be Saturday, Sept. 28. 

Here's what each day has to offer this year, according to the fair's website.

Monday

Fair is open from 4 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Deal: Buddy Night - Buy one armband, get one free

Shows

  • Worlds of Wonder 5:30 p.m. | 9 p.m.
  • Comedy Magic Circus 6 p.m. | 8 p.m. 
  • The Rocketman Valencia 8:30 p.m.

Other Entertainment

  • 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Expo Center - Exhibits, creative arts, and horticulture.
  • 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Independent Midway and Old McDonald's Farm open
  • 6 p.m. Junior Livestock Auction

Tuesday

Fair is open from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Deal: Discount Ticket Day - Rides are under three tickets

  • Comedy Magic Circus 6 p.m. | 8 p.m. 
  • Off Axis Stunt Show 7:30 p.m.
  • The Rocketman Valencia 7:30 p.m. | 9:30 p.m.
  • Aces N Eights (Southern Rock) at the Expo Building from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. 

Other Entertainment:

  • 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Check-in all Open Beef
  • 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Expo Center opens - exhibits, creative arts and horticulture

  • 5 p.m. deadline for required exhibits

Wednesday 

Fair is open from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. 

Deal: Gate admission is $1 + Kids DayRides are reduced by one ticket from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

8 a.m. Check-in for kids with special needs - $10 ticket pack available in the Expo Office

  • 1 p.m. Open and Junior Brown Swiss judging
  • 2 p.m. Open and Junior Jersey judging
  • 3 p.m. Open and Junior Holstein judging
  • 4 p.m. Junior Dairy Showmanship followed by Senior Dairy Showmanship at Harper Stadium
  • 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Independent Midway and Old McDonald's Farm open
  • 4 p.m. to 8 pm. Expo Center open - exhibits, creative arts, and horticulture.
  • 5 p.m. Supreme Champion Dairy cow
  • 5 p.m. Waterfowl in place deadline
  • 6 p.m. Release open beef

Friday

Fair opens from 4 p.m. to midnight

Discount gate admission: $2.00 off for adults and $1.00 off for seniors and kids (ages 4-11) between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.

  • The Rocketman Valencia 5:30 p.m. | 7:30 p.m. | 9:30 p.m.

  • Donny Henry & Grand Reunion (Country Band) - Expo Building 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Las Lluvias Del Norte at Harper Stadium 8 p.m.

Other entertainment:

  • 9 a.m. Open and Junior Sheep Judging - Sow Barn B. Release Open & Junior Beef 1 hour after the show
  • 9 a.m. Open and Junior Poultry Judging - Barn #5
  • 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Check-in Open Dairy Goat & Junior Dairy Goat
  • Noon: Release All Dairy Cows upon Superintendent approval

Fair opens from 11 a.m. to midnight

Deal: Unlimited Ride Armband Day from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

  • 4 p.m. Release Open and Junior Poultry
