CLARKSVILLE, Ark. — There is nothing better than a juicy, ripe peach on a hot summer day. At Peach Pickin’ Paradise in Clarksville, you can pick them right off of the tree.
The land where the orchard is located has been in the Morgan family since the late 1800’s. The first peach tree was planted in 1947. The family opened the orchard up to the public for peach picking in the 1970’s.
Co-owner Steve Morgan said, “My dad loved fruit and he decided pick your own would be the way to go.”
If you want to enjoy some peaches, but don’t want to pick them yourself, call ahead and they’ll have them ready to go when you pull up.
There are more than 300 varieties of peaches in the United States and you can find just about all of them at Peach Pickin’ Paradise. It’s easy to find the perfect peach or nectarine on the almost 18 acres filled with nearly 3,500 trees.
The orchard is split right down the middle with half in Clarksville and half in Lamar. Take the Lamar exit off I-40, follow the signs and get ready to enjoy a tasty peach.
