The Salvation Army needs your help this holiday season

From putting a few dollars in their Red Kettles to buying gifts for kids in need, they're hoping you'll step up to help this holiday season.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark — Starting this weekend, you'll be seeing Red Kettles and Angel Trees around town.

Captain Jay Spalding with the Salvation Army stopped by The Vine to tell us more.

"We're already behind this year", he says. "Usually, this time of year we have 16 spots that we can go and ring. Because of a national agreement, they can't start until after Thanksgiving which means we're about $40,000 behind already."

The Salvation Army in Central Arkansas serves families in need in Pulaski, Saline, Lonoke, and White Counties.
