LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Little Rock is looking for an Arkansas artist to add a pop of color to the heart of downtown.
The Downtown Little Rock Partnership wants to bring in a local artist to create a new mural near Main Street and Capital Avenue.
Downtown has become a bit of a hot spot for colorful murals and this project would add to the local art scene. Even better, the winning artist will get $30,000 including transportation to and from the site and artist fees for the project.
“We really feel like everything happening on Main Street,” Gabe Holsmstrom said, executive director Downtown Little Rock Partnership. “With all the activity and the restaurants and the life that is being breathed into downtown, this is really going to add to some of the public art that we have already seen on Main Street.”
