CABOT, Ark. — This week, Hayden returned to his hometown to try one of the very first 'sports-themed' restaurants in Cabot.
Overtime Cabot is owned and operated by Tia and John Van, who believed Cabot was long overdue for a place like this.
“We’re all about sports," Tia said. "My husband is a big sports fan and I’m more of the restaurant side and so we just kind of came together and said Cabot doesn’t have anything like this. This is what Cabot needs."
The Vans call Cabot home adding, "We live here, our kids go here. They’re in the sports programs around here. It’s a great opportunity for Cabot because there’s nothing here that is open past 10 that can serve food."
Not to mention all of the games available to kids and parents make it the perfect family destination.
Overtime consists of pool tables, dart boards, cornhole sets, chess tables, video games, and a very unique golf simulator.
"It's the only one in Arkansas that is like it," Tia pointed out about the golf simulator. "The closest other one is in Branson, Missouri."
They also feature a vast menu full of gameday greats and a one-of-a-kind item for the kids.
“Our featured item is our walking taco, so nobody around here really has it. You’ll find it at a ballpark. It is a Dorito bag with ground beef, lettuce, and everything," she described. "You can walk around to the pool table and to the darts while eating. I mean we’ve got our traditional wings, nachos, hamburger steak, and chicken fried steak. We’ve got brunch on Saturday and Sunday.”
Overtime Cabot is located at 14 Prospect Court in the heart of downtown Cabot.
