LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — This week, we're in Little Rock's Riverdale neighborhood at The Fold. Viewers may recall we visited this local favorite years ago, but as they celebrate over 10 years in the capital city, they're ready to take on a new adventure— a brunch menu!
Chef and owner Alex Smith said she's excited for long-time fans of The Fold to experience something completely new at their favorite spot.
"This is the first time we're doing a full brunch menu on Saturday and Sunday from 11-3," she said.
The menu includes breakfast burritos, tacos, and so far the most popular item, the Hatch Chile and cheddar cornbread.
Smith added that the way the restaurant got its name is a unique one and not the way that most people think.
"Most people think it's because we sell tacos, but it was really because we wanted a place where everyone felt welcome to come so it was just like bringing everyone into the fold," she explained.
The Fold was started as a take on a Mexican-inspired fair from Austin, Texas. The taco garages were a big influence and the owners wanted to bring that to Little Rock.
"We'll always have the classic seasonal margaritas and a full menu for everyone to enjoy," Smith added.
The Fold is located at 3501 Old Cantrell Road in Little Rock and is open Tuesday through Sunday.
