PINE BLUFF, Ark. — This week Eat it Up is in Pine Bluff at T's Place. This family spot has been serving the Pine Bluff community for years with three egg omelets the size of your head, amazing lunch specials, and some of the best pie in the state of Arkansas.
T's Place is dedicated to owner Michelle Smith's mother-in-law who passed away.
"It was originally Anne's Café. We've been here about 25 years and in 2017 we changed the name to T's Place, kind of like leaving that era for her," Michelle explained.
The diner has been through the wringer and come out better than ever.
"A fire started by a toaster brought flames to the middle of the restaurant, but the smoke was worse. We gutted it, painted it, and put a whole new ceiling. There were people in here with tears because sometimes you don't realize you are their food source," she described.
This hometown diner has something for everyone including chicken spaghetti for lunch and a lot of features that are not even on the menu.
"We've got people that come in and we've got lots of spices back there that belongs to everybody. Somebody may order the cheeseburger with the 'slap ya mama' on it," Michelle said.
The western omelet is the best seller with three eggs, vegetables, meats, and cheese. T's Place is located at 3714 Camden Road in Pine Bluff.
