GULF SHORES, Ala. (KTHV) – Governor Asa Hutchinson’s son was arrested trying to enter a music festival Saturday night.
According to the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office, Asa William Hutchinson III was and charged with possession of a controlled substance.
Officers are said to have seen Hutchinson concealing an unknown item in his rear waistband, later determined to be a flask containing alcohol.
He was then searched, according to the sheriff's office, and officers found a baggie containing two capsules of "Molly," and four ecstasy tablets.
He was released Monday after posting a $5,000 bond.
When asked about the arrest, Gov. Hutchinson said, "Those are the days that it’s tough to be a parent and it’s tough to be a son, and I think every parent and every son would identify and understand that problem. My son’s an adult, and he’ll have to address this just like he has had to address other things in the past."
