LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- The family of the late Beverly Carter is suing Crye-Leike Realty, the company she was working for when she was killed on the job in 2014.
Carter was kidnapped and murdered by Arron Lewis and Crystal Lowery who set up a fake house-showing through Crye-Leike as part of a ransom scheme.
In the lawsuit filed Friday, Carter's family says the company "has not been held responsible for its part in this tragedy" and should be blamed for failing to train agents to handle life-threatening situations.
Carter's husband and two sons want the company to pay for wrongful death and negligence.
