ARKANSAS, USA — On Tuesday, the Central Arkansas Development Council (CADC) announced that the state's summer Utility Assistance Program is set to begin next month.
The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) will begin on Monday, July 10. It will assist in paying for all fuels through the summer program, and they will also be providing crisis assistance if needed.
The program is aimed at keeping families safe and healthy through using initiatives that help families with energy costs.
LIHEAP is available through the CADC for the following counties in Arkansas:
- Calhoun
- Clark
- Columbia
- Dallas
- Hempstead
- Hot Spring
- Howard
- Lafayette
- Little River
- Lonoke
- Miller
- Montgomery
- Nevada
- Ouachita
- Pike
- Pulaski
- Saline
- Sevier
- Union
