SALINE COUNTY, Ark. — Mobley Contractors are offering a $5,000 reward for anyone with information connected to the overnight vandalism at the Old River Bridge Construction site.
According to Mobley Contractors, the incident happened overnight on May, 9, with the vandalism causing over $10,000 in damages to the site. The construction company said that the person responsible shattered a safety glass window on the crane and damaged a power unit on the barge.
Saline County Judge Matt Brumley expressed his disappointment in the vandalism, but emphasized that it won't prevent them from completing ongoing projects.
"While we are disgusted by these cowardly, evil and destructive acts, this will not stop us from completing projects that are so important to the people of Saline County. We have enhanced our efforts to protect our projects and will work hard to catch those who participate in vandalism as we have a zero tolerance approach to these terrible actions. We appreciate Mobley and our private citizens who have put up reward money towards catching these criminals", said Judge Brumley said.
Officials in Saline County and Mobley Contractors said that they're both working with police to investigate the source of the damages and urge anyone with information to contact them.
"These attacks are not only costing the company money, but slowing down the progress of the project as well. It is our goal to resolve this issue quickly so that we can focus on completing this project for the community," said Brad Deaver-Vice President of Mobley Contractors.
Anyone with information are urged to reach out to Mobley Contractors' office at 501-354-2510. The company wants to remind potential callers that their identity will remain anonymous.
