Police: Arkansas man arrested on multiple charges involving child sexual abuse

A 63-year-old Bull Shoals man was arrested after an investigation revealed he had "graphic sexual chats" with a minor for approximately two months.

BULL SHOALS, Ark. — An Arkansas man is facing 10 to 40 years or life in prison if convicted on charges involving child sexual abuse material.

Arkansas State Police said 63-year-old Kenzie Parnell of Bull Shoals was arrested on Thursday and charged with one count of possession of child sexual abuse material and one count of computer exploitation of a child.

According to authorities, a residential search revealed Parnell to have initiated a "graphic sexual chat" with a 16-year-old girl. He continued to have sexual chats with her for approximately two months, requesting and receiving nude images while also sending unsolicited photos.

Parnell was arrested and transferred to the Marion County Detention Center, where he was booked and charged. His bond was set at $75,000.
