JACKSONVILLE, Ark. — An Arkansas man has now been arrested after shooting at an 18-wheeler while on the interstate.
Arkansas State Police were investigating the shooting incident that happened just before 2:45 p.m. on Monday.
According to reports, police responded to the shooting at the 156-mile marker of Interstate 40 westbound in North Little Rock where they found a 50-year-old man from Arizona with minor injuries.
The 18-wheeler he was driving also had a shattered window, and agents found a "projectile" lodged inside a closet of the truck.
After reviewing dash cam footage from the 18-wheeler they were able to identify the vehicle the suspect was driving. Troopers were able to find that vehicle hours later while at an apartment complex in Jacksonville.
Agents executed a search warrant for the apartment where 21-year-old Al’Khaliq Rogers was located. Inside they found three firearms, including one that was stolen, along with illegal marijuana, some drum magazines for a rifle and pistols, and a bulletproof vest.
Rogers was arrested and then taken to the Pulaski County Detention Center.
He is being held on felony charges of committing a terroristic act, first-degree battery, unlawful discharge of a firearm, simultaneous possession of firearms and narcotics, possession with intent to deliver, and theft by receiving.
