Police: US Marshals arrest 2 suspects tied to Arkansas murder

Authorities say the two suspects were connected to a fatal shooting in Camden near Union Street on July 21, 2024.

CAMDEN, Ark. — Two people tied to a fatal shooting in Camden were arrested by U.S. Marshals in San Diego on Thursday.

Camden police said Dorrian Cunningham and Alexia Radford have been on the run since July 21, 2024, when Jontavion Higgs was shot and killed just before 1 a.m. near Union Street.

An initial investigation revealed Cunningham and Radford as suspects. One month later, they were located in San Diego and taken into custody by U.S. Marshals and the task force operating in the area.

Cunningham was charged with first-degree murder, first-degree terroristic threatening and intimidating a witness, while Radford was later found to have assisted Cunningham evade police and get to California.

Both suspects were transported to facilities in San Diego, where they will await their extradition hearings and transportation back to Camden.
