MARIANNA, Ark. — Arkansas State Police are now investigating a homicide that happened in Marianna on Tuesday, Oct. 15.
According to authorities, the incident happened around 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday as police in Marianna responded to reports of shots being fired at South Pointe Apartments, which is located on California Street.
Upon arrival, Marianna officer found the victim, 25-year-old Danny Jordan fatally shot in an open doorway in the apartment complex.
Authorities pronounced Jordan dead at the scene and his body was taken to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory to determine an exact manner and cause of death.
Marianna police have since requested for Arkansas State Police to handle the investigation. There's currently no potential suspects in connection to the incident.
