LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Bankroll Freddie, a well known rapper from Arkansas, has been found guilty on multiple charges stemming from a federal gun and drug bust that happened in 2022.
The rapper was found guilty on multiple charges including:
- Marijuana possession and distribution
- Possession and distribution of a controlled substance
- Firearm possession in furtherance of drug trafficking
- Using "a communications facility" for drug trafficking crimes
The ruling, which came from the U.S. District Court in Eastern District Arkansas, was filed earlier this month. While the rapper was found guilty of multiple charges, he was also found not guilty of several other charges.
Back in November of 2022, the rapper was charged in connection to a federal case that resulted in nearly 50 arrests that month.
On Nov. 9, the Department of Justice announced three federal investigations that resulted in 45 arrests.
The operation focused on two gangs, the Every Body Killas (EBK) and the Loady Murder Mobb.
Freddie Gladney III, better known as Bankroll Freddie, was arrested along with 34 EBK members which included his father, Freddie Gladney Jr.
Officials at the time said that the gang members "voluntarily and intentionally conspired" together to distribute cocaine, crack cocaine, meth, and marijuana.
Gladney III faced several drug charges related to the possession of cocaine and marijuana.
He also had several firearms in his possession according to court documents from November of 2022.
Law enforcement officials later discovered that the gang was funding their operations through large scale sales of marijuana.
