WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. — An investigation is underway by Arkansas State Police after "human remains" were found in West Memphis on Wednesday.
According to authorities, the discovery happened around 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 23 as police found the remains at the 280-mile marker of I-40 in West Memphis.
Police have not yet released any information on who the remains belonged to, but authorities said that an autopsy will be completed to determine the identity of the person and cause of death.
