Arkansas State Police seize over 400 pounds of illegal marijuana during traffic stop

Arkansas State Police announced that they seized over 400 pounds of illegal marijuana during a traffic stop on Monday, May 6.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Arkansas State Police (ASP) announced that they seized over 400 pounds of illegal marijuana on Monday, May 6. 

According to authorities, the search came around 10 p.m. on Monday as officers with ASP stopped a white rental box truck on I-40 eastbound in Conway County. 

Officers said they stopped the truck due to a traffic violation. While stopped, the officers searched the truck's cargo area which is where they found 21 boxes containing "individually vacuum-sealed packages of illegal marijuana" which totaled 434 pounds.

As a result of the search, ASP said that they arrested the driver, 44-year-old Seth Molen of Marietta, Georgia, and transported him to the Conway County Detention Center. 

ASP said that Molen was traveling from Oklahoma to Atlanta, Georgia. He is now being charged with drug possession and possession with intent to deliver.
