Armed robbery at Bearden Dollar General leaves 2 injured, police searching for suspect

The suspect was identified as 21-year-old Kobe Juwan Miller of Columbia, Missouri.

BEARDEN, Ark. — According to the Bearden Police Department, on Sunday, Jan. 19, the Ouachita County Sheriff's Department received a 911 phone call from Dollar General on Jordan Avenue for a reported armed robbery.

The Ouachita County Sheriff's Department, Bearden Police Department, East Camden Police Department and Ouachita County Emergency Medical Center responded to the scene. Both clerks were transported to the local hospital for treatment. 

One clerk received a gunshot wound to the head and was later transported by helicopter to UAMS. The second clerk was treated for injuries from a  physical altercation that took place with the suspect. 

The suspect was identified as 21-year-old Kobe Juwan Miller of Columbia, Missouri. Miller fled from law enforcement shortly after the incident occurred. A search of Miller's grandmothers nearby apparent was conducted.

The suspected firearm used in the robbery, clothing and money were recovered at the apartment. The suspects shoe and wallet were also recovered near the apartment.
