Benton woman arrested for attempted first-degree murder after juvenile hit her parked vehicle

According to Benton police, officers were collecting statements when the 24-year-old woman attempted to run over the juvenile driver who hit her parked vehicle.

BENTON, Ark. — The Benton Police Department arrested a 24-year-old woman after she tried to run over a juvenile who hit her parked vehicle at a private property off Interstate 30 around 6:45 p.m. Friday.

Benton police said Daisha McCuien of Benton, the owner of the hit vehicle, attempted to kill the juvenile driver when officers were collecting statements.

McCuien was charged with attempted first-degree murder, four counts of aggravated assault, first-degree battery, four counts of endangering the welfare of a minor in the first degree and reckless driving.

The juvenile was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover.
