LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) – The Little Rock Police Department is investigating a shooting that left one woman dead and another injured.
It happened on Tuesday morning just after midnight. Officers were dispatched to 26th and Izard Street.
When officers arrived, they found several bullet holes in the vehicle and a window shot out.
Two victims, a male and a female, suffering from gunshot injuries were found inside that vehicle, another person was also inside the car but not injured.
The injured male and other passenger told police that an unknown subject started shooting at their vehicle from a grey vehicle. Both individuals suffering from gunshot injuries were taken to the hospital. The female later died from her injuries. She has been identified as 34-year-old Tartinisha Rainey of North Little Rock.
Her death is the sixth homicide for Little Rock in 2018.
No suspect information is available at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
