Grant County Sheriff's Office asks public for information in unsolved murder

37-year-old Keith Bailey was killed at his home off of Grant 9 early in the morning on Aug. 23, 2019.

GRANT COUNTY, Ark. — The Grant County Sheriff's Office is asking the public's help for information that could help solve a murder six months ago.

37-year-old Keith Bailey was killed at his home off of Grant County Road 9 early in the morning on Aug. 23, 2019. The sheriff's office is actively investigating the murder, but it is still unclear why the father of two was targeted.

"We still believe someone knows something and will do the right thing by coming forward," Chief Deputy Pete Roberts said.

Roberts said evidence—including ballistic evidence— was recovered from the scene.

"We're still waiting for what we consider key evidence to be evaluated at the crime lab," he said.

Two persons-of-interest have also been in contact with the sheriff's office for months, but recently stopped cooperating.

"While it is their right, it is unfortunate and we hope they reconsider," Roberts said.

This is why the Grant County Sheriff's Office is asking people to recall the morning of Aug. 23.

"Consider whether they can recall anything that could've happened or that they may have seen driving by or anything like that," Roberts said.

Any information could help crack the case, and bring peace to Keith bailey's family.

"It may not be something that they think was significant that they've seen, but it may be the small piece we need to wrap this thing up," Roberts said.

If you have any information, you are asked to call the Grant County Sheriff's Office at 870-942-8925.
