CLARK COUNTY, Ark. (KTHV) – The Clark County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in the death of a 19-year-old Gurdon man.
The body of 19-year-old Charles Alden Niederbrach, Jr. was found on the bed of Terre Noire Creek near Bateman Road in Clark County on June 16. Niederbrach’s body was found with multiple gunshot injuries.
On July 5, the Clark County Sheriff Jason Watson announced that he along with officers from Arkansas State Police and the Arkadelphia/Clark County SWAT team executed search warrants and an arrest in Gurdon.
Bryson Deaton was arrested for Capital Murder in connection with the death of Niederbrach.
He had his first court appearance in front of Circuit Judge Greg Vardaman and was ordered to be held without bond. Formal charges, by Clark County Prosecuting Attorney Blake Batson, are pending the conclusion of the investigation.
