HOT SPRINGS, Ark. — On Thursday, Feb. 7, 2019 at approximately 10:58 a.m., the Lakeside Intermediate School contacted the School Resource Officer in reference to a parent in the lunchroom with a holster on him.
Officers made contact with 46-year-old Dwight Grantham of Hot Springs and noted that he had an empty holster, but that his gun was sitting in plain sight inside his car on school property.
Grantham is a convicted felon and is not permitted to be in possession of a firearm. He has been charged with Possession of a Firearm on School Property (D Felony) and Possession of a Firearm by Certain Person (D Felony).
Grantham is being held at the Garland County Detention Center on a $5,000.00 bond.
