Hot Springs police investigating after man shoots victim who 'refused' to move RV from property

Hot Springs police are investigating after a man was shot for allegedly "refusing" to move his parked RV from the shooter's property.

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. — Hot Springs police are now investigating after a person was shot on Crescent Avenue on Thursday, July 25. 

According to reports, the incident happened around 5:40 p.m. with authorities responding to calls of a shooting in the area. 

Officers arrived at the scene, which is where they found a man who had been shot multiple times. 

Authorities provided the man with aid at the scene before transporting him to a local hospital for treatment. 

Afterwards, authorities spoke with witnesses at the scene which led to officers detaining 32-year-old Deshawn Green for his alleged involvement in the shooting. 

Following an investigation, authorities learned that the victim had parked his RV on a property owned by Green along Crescent Avenue. According to reports, Green asked the victim to move his RV from his property, which led to a verbal argument. 

Reports say that in the midst of the argument, the victim "produced a hand BB gun" and Green responded by pulling out his hand gun and shooting at the man. 

There's currently no information on potential charges for those involved in the incident, but authorities said that an investigation is underway.
