NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The North Little Rock Police Department is investigating a shooting that killed one man and injured a woman and teenage girl in the 2400 block of Moss Street around 1 p.m. Friday.
Authorities said the three victims were taken to the hospital, where 18-year-old Torrio Baker Jr. of Little Rock died from the injuries. Both other victims, a 15-year-old female and an 18-year-old female, are expected to survive.
Glen Starkey, a man who lives in the neighborhood, said the shooting happened right outside his window.
"That's why I started to get down on the floor and eat carpet," Starkey said. "I don't want to get shot."
Starkey said there were several gunshots, as he saw a car rammed into a house across the street.
"Being a veteran, I shouldn't have to put up with this," Starkey said. "We go out there, put our life on the line for our country, and come back to this."
