JONESBORO, Ark. — The Jonesboro Police Department is investigating a shooting incident that left three people dead and several injured during the early morning hours on Sunday.
According to reports, just before 5:00 a.m. police were called to the scene of a party happening in the 600 block of Burke.
When they arrived they found several gunshot wound victims. One person was taken to the hospital by ambulance and officers were informed that four more people had been taken to the hospital in their personal vehicles.
Police state that both a male and female victim known by the suspect were shot and killed, and a second female also known to the suspect was injured.
Authorities later identified 20-year-old Amari Giles and 24-year-old Dwight Starks as two of the victims that were fatally shot due to the altercation.
Police have since named 32-year-old Tarail Moody as a suspect in the shooting, and announced that he also died due in the altercation.
There were also three other victims that were wounded but officers say they had no known connection to the suspect.
