LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — UPDATE - Roderick was arrested for first-degree murder on March 15.
Little Rock police are investigating a homicide on Springer Boulevard, where they said a man was stabbed to death in the neck.
Lt. Michael Ford with LRPD said that they are unsure exactly where the altercation started somewhere near Jericho Way, a homeless shelter, and ended inside Nehemiah House, a rehabilitation facility.
MEMS arrived on scene before LRPD at 6:30 p.m. and took the victim, 58-year-old Nicky Anthony, to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
LRPD has identified 29-year-old Roderick Damon Mills as the suspect, and are actively searching for him. Mills is 5'09" and weighs 148 pounds. He is homeless and is wanted for a first-degree murder charge.
Mills is considered armed and dangerous, so LRPD says to stay away and call 911 if you see him.
Officers have not identified the victim and are not sure what he was stabbed with.
This is Little Rock's 12th homicide for 2019.
