Little Rock police identify suspect in Shackleford Road shooting that left two dead

The Little Rock Police Department is investigating a shooting incident that left two people dead on Sunday.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Update: Officials have identified the suspect (pictured below) as Wilson Moreno-Portillo who is wanted on 2 counts of capital murder.

The Little Rock Police Department is investigating a shooting incident that left two people dead on Sunday evening.

According to reports, just before 6:00 p.m., officers were called to the 4000 block of Shackleford Road for a "check subject call."

Upon arrival, officials noticed "suspicious circumstances" and contacted the Little Rock Fire Department to breach the front door.

Once inside found an adult male, identified as 44-year-old Norberto Cruz, and an 11-year-old juvenile male both deceased from apparent gunshot wounds.

Officers secured the area and began a preliminary investigation. Homicide detectives later responded to the scene to canvass the area for witnesses and video surveillance.
