LONOKE COUNTY, Ark. (KTHV) - The Lonoke County Sheriff’s Office has captured a murder suspect.
According to Sheriff John Staley, 28-year-old Joshua Watson stabbed 33-year-old Brian Mauldin, of Lonoke County, to death on the 90 block of Warren Road.
Staley said witnesses at the scene identified Watson as the person responsible for the stabbing. He apparently fled the scene before deputies could arrive.
He was found at a home just off State Highway 70 near the Kerr community just after midnight Friday.
He was taken to the Lonoke County Detention Center where he will be held without bail awaiting his first appearance. Watson is facing second-degree murder.
