LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The attached video is from previous reporting of the case.
Pulaski County prosecutors have ruled that when Jermaine Brown shot and killed Alvin Walls at the Spanish Jon Apartments back in March of 2019, that it was self-defense.
Brown turned himself into police after the shooting and said that he was returning gunfire after Walls tried to shoot him, which corroborated a 911 phone call to police.
He was released from custody soon thereafter.
At the time, police said there were multiple witnesses and security footage to investigate before any charges were filed.
After reviewing LRPD's investigation, prosecutors ruled in favor of self-defense.
