MAYFLOWER, Ark. (KTHV) - Mayflower police said they have arrested a Mayflower High School art teacher, Jessica Kaplan, 31, for alleged sexual contact with a student.
The school resource officer was told about the alleged incident on Monday, May 14.
The officer forwarded the case to the criminal investigations division who then sent the case to the prosecuting attorney, according to the Mayflower Police Department.
Kaplan's profile on the Mayflower High School website says that she married her high school sweetheart.
The police released an earlier statement detailing the allegations before the arrest.
She is being held on a $30,000 bond.
