North Little Rock man arrested in Georgia for shooting on Interstate 630

Arkansas State Police says the 52-year-old man was traveling on Interstate 630 near the Woodrow Street exit when he "fired multiple rounds into another vehicle."

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Arkansas State Police arrested a 52-year-old North Little Rock man who shot and injured a man on Oct. 11.

According to authorities, Alvertis Murry was traveling on Interstate 630 near the Woodrow Street exit when he "fired multiple rounds into another vehicle."

The gunfire hit the driver of the other vehicle in the arm, but state police said he was treated and later released from the hospital.

Murry was arrested in Dublin, Ga., and was taken to the Pulaski County Detention Center, where he has been charged with felony possession of a firearm and first-degree battery.

His bond is set at $200,000.
