Police investigate North Little Rock shooting that left one person injured

The North Little Rock Police Department is investigating a shooting incident that left one victim injured on Sunday morning.

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The North Little Rock Police Department is investigating an incident that happened on Sunday morning.

According to reports, police were called to the scene of a shooting at JFK and McCain Boulevard just before noon.

Once they arrived they found a male victim. He was quickly taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries where he remains in stable condition. 

Witnesses at the scene were able to give officers a description of the suspect. Police later found the suspect identified as 20-year-old Latarryes Bush in the 3900 block of North Cypress.

He was taken into custody without incident and was interviewed by detectives at the North Little Rock Justice Center where Mr. Bush admitted to his involvement in the shooting.

He is now being held at the Pulaski County Regional Detention Facility without bond on charges of criminal attempt to commit murder, aggravated robbery, first-degree battery, felon in possession of firearm, and possession of a controlled substance schedule VI with purpose to deliver.

The investigation into what happened remains ongoing and we will update with more information as soon as it becomes available.
