LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Update: Police arrested 21-year-old Nemiah Woods was taken into custody on charges of capital murder. 20-year-old Zacorian Hickey was also charged with capital murder for his involvement.
The Little Rock Police Department is investigating a homicide that happened on Sunday afternoon.
According to reports, just before 3:00 p.m., officers were called to the 500 block of East 22nd Street with reports of a shooting. Once they arrived at the scene they found an adult female suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
The victim was identified as 22-year-old Makylia Matthew.
Paramedics performed life-saving measures but she died while still at the scene. Her body was then sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy to be performed.
