Lonoke County burglary suspect captured after fleeing during traffic stop

The suspect, Christopher Gaylor has been arrested and is facing additional charges including fleeing and carrying prohibited weapons.

LONOKE COUNTY, Ark. (KTHV) - The Lonoke County Sheriff's Office has captured the burglary suspect that fled from deputies during a traffic stop.

Christopher Gaylor had multiple warrants and took off on foot into a wooded area on Highway 38 near Cabot on Friday afternoon.

According to the Cabot Police Department, multiple officers were sent to Cabot Middle School North due to the proximity of the chase to the school. Students were held until the area was deemed safe.

Multiple agencies assisted in the search for Gaylor until the search was called off for the night. On Saturday morning, Captain David Bufford was traveling on the highway and observed Gaylor walking down the road. Deputy Mike Davis responded and apprehended Gaylor without incident.

He was transported to the county jail where he faces charges of fleeing and carrying prohibited weapons. He also faces multiple warrant extraditions from other jurisdictions, including possession of meth with the purpose to deliver.
