HOT SPRINGS, Ark. — A 16-year-old is being charged as an adult for his involvement in a homicide that happened last month.
The Hot Springs Police Department responded to reports of a shooting in the 600 block of School Street shortly after 6:00 p.m. on October 5.
According to reports, once officers arrived they found a 16-year-old with several gunshot wounds. He was quickly taken to a hospital where he later died from his injuries.
As officers were later headed towards the hospital, they were flagged down by a driver who had a 17-year-old female in the vehicle that was suffering from several life-threatening gunshot wounds. She was then taken to the hospital.
Later, an 18-year-old male showed up at the hospital and was also suffering from several gunshot wounds though they were non-life threatening.
On November 8, a 16-year-old suspect turned himself in to the police and was arrested for being involved in the homicide.
He is being charged as an adult and has been charged with 1st-degree murder, aggravated robbery, two counts of a terroristic act, and 1st-degree battery.
He has been taken to a juvenile detention facility and is being held on a $750,000 bond.
