TEXARKANA, Ark. — The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department (TAPD) has started investigating a shooting that happened on Nov. 17, 2024.
According to police, the incident took place in the area of Vernal and Bramble Street. When TAPD officers arrived at the scene, they found multiple used cartridge cases in the street.
During the course of the investigation, officers discovered that the suspects involved drove to a house on Vernal and Bramble Street and began shooting at the residence.
In the midst of the gunfire exchange, 26-year-old Tracy Davis who police said was "potentially involved in the incident" suffered a gunshot wound to the head. Davis was taken to the hospital and is listed in critical condition.
Officers continued their investigation and found that 21-year-old Timothy Demery was the driver of the suspect vehicle.
As a result, Demery was arrested and charged with 66 counts of terroristic act, tampering with evidence, and discharging a firearm from a vehicle.
TAPD said that at this time, no additional suspects have been identified.
