Little Rock and North Little Rock schools remain open despite PCSSD closing

After a Pulaski County school bus was caught in caught in flood waters Wednesday, Feb. 21, Pulaski County Special School District announced they will be closed Thursday, Feb. 22. North Little Rock and Little Rock superintendents reached out to combat rumors their schools would be closed as well.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) — Both Little Rock and North Little Rock school districts will be open tomorrow, Feb. 22, according to North Little Rock School District Superintendent Kelly Rodgers.

Rumors have been circulating on social media that the schools would close Thursday once Pulaski County Special School District announced it would close. Rodgers said that's not the case.

"They've got rural areas that they can't get buses through. We don't," Rodgers said.

He said that he had spoken with Little Rock School District Superintendent Mike Poore and determined that both schools would be open and run all bus routes.
