Multiple Arkansas schools closed due to flu outbreaks

Various schools have closed so crews can scrub surfaces thoroughly in an attempt to prevent the spreading of germs.

ARKANSAS, USA — As state announced three more people died in Arkansas from the flu in the last week, various schools have made an unprecedented move by closing school while crews scrub surfaces thoroughly in an attempt to prevent the spreading of germs.

Jacksonville Lighthouse Schools

Closed Feb. 10 and Feb. 11:

Little Rock School District

Closed Feb. 7:

Guy-Perkins School District

Maumelle High School

Maumelle Middle School

Robinson High School

Closed Feb. 6 and Feb. 7:

Sheridan School District

Cabot School District

Lonoke School District

Mayflower School District

Closed previously:

Rockefeller and King schools -- Feb. 4, Feb. 5

England School District -- Jan. 31, Feb. 3, and Feb. 4

Guy-Perkins, Quitman, Carlisle, and Southside School Districts -- Feb. 3
