DALLAS — Hear ye, hear ye!

Medieval Times, the dinner and tournament-themed attraction, announced a new show that will soon be performed at their 10 locations nationwide, though it debuted at the Dallas location in May. This is the first new show since 2017 and it coincides with the company's 40th anniversary this year.

"It’s always an exciting time when we roll out a new show. Our teams work so hard and pour their hearts into every performance,” said Gretchen Midkiff, Medieval Times marketing manager, in a statement. “We look forward to being a part of our guests’ family traditions and making memories.”

The new storyline follows a powerful alliance between a king and queen as they unite to usher in an era of peace in their respective kingdoms.

Beyond the plot, which Medieval Times said will be "action-packed," the show will boast upgraded technical elements as well: The new musical score is a compilation of ones from past shows and there have been technological improvements to the sound and light effects.

Even the costumes are new, with custom-designed and hand-sewn creations from the Medieval Times costume shop in Dallas.

Armed with new characters, stunts and more, the show promises to maintain the beloved aspects of Medieval Times with a fresh spin.

“Producing a new show is a huge undertaking, from creating a new script, to choreographing each scene and perfectly synchronizing the timing of music and lighting, along with food service,” said Jim Collins, director of stunt choreography for Medieval Times, in a statement. “We’ve been working on this new show for the past two years and have conducted extensive knight and horse training to pack as much action as possible into the storyline. We’re excited to bring it to life and have no doubt it will have our guests on the edge of their seats.”
